Introduce yourself:

Since I was very young, I’ve had a passion for stories that has taken me to many fascinating places over the course of my life. As a student at Wesleyan University, I majored in the College of Letters, an interdisciplinary program where I focused mainly on literary studies. While a college student, I worked at the Writing Center, hosting drop-in hours and serving as a peer writing advisor for senior thesis projects. I have been an avid reader and creator of comic books since I was a kid. I received an MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies, and have a Masters in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. I'm currently a tenth grade English teacher in Rockford, Illinois. My favorite part of working at Academic Access is seeing the students find ways to tell their own stories.

Fun Facts:

  • In college, I spent a semester studying in Madrid.
